Historic treasures inspire The Art File

English Heritage licensed collection celebrates architecture, design and scenery

English Heritage is the latest licensor to forge a relationship with The Art File with a brand-new collection of 16 designs celebrating the timeless design of the organisation’s historic estates making its trade debut at PG Live recently.

“Delving into the English Heritage project was like wandering through a treasure trove of history,” revealed Samantha Porter, part of The Art File’s multi-award-winning design team who worked on this project, which had pride of place on its show stand earlier this month.

Samantha added: “We discovered enchanting stories intricately woven into the tapestry of our past. In overcoming our initial trepidation, we have emerged with a collection that we truly love and believe in.”

English Heritage cares for more than 400 historic buildings, monuments, and sites across the UK, bringing the country’s story to life for over 10 million visitors each year, and each card in the collection is inspired by specific architecture, design and scenery at EH sites, with the exact inspiration printed on the back, adding depth for both the sender and receiver.

In a larger square card format, the collection uses a range of unique and detailed finishes, including textured foil, and both multi-level and sculptured embossing. Every card is printed on a high quality 280GSM board, set in a larger square card format – and there’s a brand-new English Heritage corner clasp making the range plastic-free and completely recyclable.

Sales and marketing manager James Mace confirmed the 16 designs launched at PG Live are just the start for The Art File’s relationship with English Heritage, as further greeting card and gift packaging ranges are planned to launch over the next year as part of the deal brokered by Golden Goose Licensing.

James added: “English Heritage is an organisation dedicated to upkeeping and preserving the history and story of England alive for future generations to explore, and The Art File is extremely proud to be a part of that.”
