Charity begins at The Art File

Publisher raised £44,000 for good causes as posties deliver £21,000 to BHF

Charity is close to the hearts of many in the greeting card and related industries and the generosity has just been proved a further 65,000 times.

For The Art File has just announced a massive £44,000 donation to four worthy causes from its 2023 Christmas packs, while posties at Royal Mail raised £21,780.

The Nottingham-based publisher supported the RSPCA, Dementia UK, MNDA and Young Lives Vs Cancer last year with 50p from every Christmas Charity Pack donated, taking its overall charitable giving to £350,000 since the scheme began.

“These organisations work hard to protect people and animals in need and we couldn’t be prouder to help them with their mission,” said sales and marketing manager James Mace.

“None of this would be possible without the amazing support from our lovely customers. If you bought a charity pack of cards from us to stock in your shop, or to give to someone you care about, thank you. Your support means everything to us and helps us to lift up these amazing organisations!”

Over at Royal Mail posties are already renowned for their community help and spirit and it’s just been highlighted with the fundraising drive for the British Heart Foundation where staff cycled, walked and ran their way to the total during the charity’s recent Heart Month campaign.

Part of RM’s partnership with BHF aimed at raising a total of £2million for the charity’s Community Hearts Programme, staff are being trained in the life-saving cpr technique and the cash will be used to place defibrillators in communities that need them the most.

The scheme will also pay to develop accessible heart health information across Great Britain, and deliver cpr training to one million young people – its importance can be seen in the video here and below where postie Dan saved the life of a customer who collapsed at a delivery office.
