Moonpig roars into action to turn round Euro 2022 victory collection
Moonpig has roared into action to celebrate the Lionesses’ inspirational and historic victory over Germany with a whole range of greeting cards marking yesterday’s Euro 2022 win.
The first time any England football team has won a major international trophy since Bobby Moore led the famous 1966 World Cup triumph, the online greetings specialist proved it has its finger on the country’s pulse by turning around its 10-plus card designs within hours, offering standard, large and giant sizes.

An 87,192-strong crowd saw the Lionesses lift the trophy at Wembley Stadium yesterday evening, 31 July, having topped their group unbeaten in eight games, with a magnificent 68-0 goal tally, followed by a 2-1 win over Spain in the quarter-final, and a 4-0 semi-final drubbing of Sweden to line up against Germany in the final.
Toone gave England the lead with an outrageous chip on 62 minutes, before Germany found themselves back in it 17 minutes later as Lina Magull finally got past stoic keeper Mary Earps to take the game to extra-time.
It fell to sub Kelly to poke home from close-range in the 110th minute for the decisive goal that earned the ladies congratulations from the Queen, and the team’s own celebratory party carried on into the night while Moonpig’s staff swung into action themselves to get the designs completed.
