What’s Hot on www.lovemooch.co.uk?

Rachel and Paul Roberts, co-owners of Mooch in Northampton, Olney and Towcester started out their business online before moving into bricks and mortar, so www.lovemooch.co.uk was ready for the upsurge in online ordering from customers. Alongside leading brands, the site also offers some bespoke ranges of products, from Mooch’s own range of home fragranced products as well as some handmade cushions. All NHS frontline workers have been offered a discount when ordering.

Here, as they prepare to open up their shops on June 16, they share some of the top selling products on their website during lockdown.

Thinking of You Cards

Silver Leaf from Janie Wilson

“We’ve offered a ‘write and send’ option for customers during lockdown and Thinking of You is probably one of the biggest categories (after humour) and this range has been super popular. And the cards are beautiful to write on too!”

Humorous Cards

Cloud Nine and Holy Flaps from Redback

“These have been brilliant – humour has definitely been a bigger category for us during lockdown. We’re increasing our range of humour for when we reopen.”

Art Cards

Lemongrass from Clare Maddicott/Abacus

“The bright colours and striking images make them stand out on the web. We also have two local artists who produce cards for us with local scenes on which have also been best sellers.”

Contemporary Cards

Mini Cards from Lagom

“These have been the single biggest selling range for us online. Customers tend to buy more than five at a time. A great option to send to their pals.”

Children’s Cards

Quicksilver Ages from Wendy Jones-Blackett

“These have been huge sellers during lockdown, especially the older children’s ages (9-16).”

Giftwrappings

The Art File’s Collection

“Stunning, great quality paper with beautiful designs. We’ve been doing a lot of gift wrapping for our online customers and this is a delight to wrap with!”

Gifts

“There has been a really broad spread of sellers on the gifts front – home fragrance items of candles, diffusers and wax melts have sold well.”

Bird feeders from Sienna Glass

Gowns and Kimonos from One Hundred Stars

Limited Edition Handmade Cushions made locally

“We have had a big hit with a bespoke cushion (handmade locally in Northampton) we created to raise money for our local theatre (which is a charity) – the response has been phenomenal. Customers choose how much they pay with either 20% or 30% of the sale going to the charity.”
