Mark Goshawk and Rob Pearson Return To The Trade

Unable to escape the lure of the UK greeting card industry, two well-known greeting card execs, Mark Goshawk and Rob Pearson are back in the fray working with leading companies!

“I love the greeting card industry, so was determined to stay working within it,” exclaimed Mark Goshawk to PG Buzz at PG Live last week.

A very well known face in the trade, after 37 years with UK Greetings, latterly as business unit director with special responsibility for the Clintons account, Mark accepted redundancy from the company and chose to pursue consultancy opportunities.

As the beaming smile on his face at PG Live testified, Mark is delighted to be staying involved with the sector and is working with specialist multiple retailer Cardzone on a consultancy basis.

Meanwhile on the supply side, print specialist Rob Pearson has joined Sheffield-based greeting card printer Loxleys as a sales agent. Rob knows greeting card print requirements inside out and upside down as he has spent many decades in the trade, including sales and marketing director of the Loudwater Group and most recently spent eight years as agent for European manufacturer, Solutions Polska.

Rob joins the team to promote Loxleys and The Sherwood Group’s offering to the greeting card industry across both their UK and Far East manufacturing sites and will predominantly look after publishers based in London and the South of England.

Tony Lorriman, Loxleys’ managing director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rob to the team, he brings extensive industry knowledge and experience and will be a great asset for the group.”

Commenting on his new position, Rob said: “This is a very exciting role to take on and I look forward to representing this market leading group as their sales agent in the greeting card sector.”
