Just the ticket for Henries

All ready to rock as Hallmark reveals fabulous 50s-style invites for 2022 awards night

Are you ready to rock ’n’ roll? The joint is about to start jumpin’ as arrangements for the fabulous 50s-themed Henries Awards night are getting up to speed – and the glitzy tickets will soon be winging their way through the post.

Designed by Hallmark’s Becca Clapham, with input from artwork designer Andy Rhoades and head of creative Claire Marsom, the 50s type, signage, fashion and graphic illustration alongside the metallic and sparkle bring the ticket to life, and help ensure the Henries invite is really rockin’ it!

“Hopefully the attendees will enjoy opening the invite and taking selfies with the wearable iconic 50s accessory they find inside,” Claire told PG Buzz.

The glittering red cats eye glasses ramp up the jive-era theme to match the gorgeous jukebox design, and Claire added: “The 50s theme gave us a great excuse to look back to the Golden Era and the images it conjures. Chevrolets, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis, drive-in movies, soda fountains, diners and varsity jackets to name a few, but probably one of the biggest and longest-lasting influences was rock ’n’ roll – the chosen music of a new generation.

“We wanted the nostalgic design to be fun and interactive with a hidden reveal, and the American diner and juke box theme gave us the perfect opportunity.”

With Bradford-based Hallmark contributing the design expertise, the tickets have been printed by Herbert Walkers in nearby Shipley, and are just the thing for The Henries 2022 awards event at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday, 6 October, 2022.
