For those of you still on the fence over whether this is a conversation for you – and it is, trust us, it really is – here’s a list of the top 10 things you’ll find at SiLC (Sustainability In Licensing Conference) this year that may just sway things for you to make the trip tomorrow, or join in online…

  1. Grab a Womble and have a picture. That’s right, the original eco-champions will be making their return to SiLC this year so why not take the chance to get to know them better. It might not be the most business-critical reason to attend, but it’s the most fun!
  2. Get to know the retailers taking sustainability seriously. Amazon, Asda, Tesco, and Lush will all be in attendance of this year’s SiLC – will you?
  3. Rub shoulders with the United Nationsand take the chance to network with some of the boldest and most pioneering thought-leaders in sustainability.
  4. Celebrate the industry’s leading voices in sustainability and catch the inaugural Products Of Change Members’ Sustainable Development Goals Awards, presented by the United Nations. Yes, we’re marking SiLC 23 with the launch of our very own, industry-first awards, live at the Sustainability In Licensing Conference.
  5. Learn from licensors and licensees what progress they’re making across the industry and what resources are available to you to take your journey forwards.
  6. Collect your free copy of the latest issue of the Products Of Change magazine, the Autumn 2023 Sustainability Edit. Get the latest news, views and insight from across the industry.
  7. Learn about the future of retail and understand the progress that’s needed to reach the 2030 goals.

  2. Feel inspired– take your new knowledge into the halls of the Royal Geographical Society and strike up some new conversations, implement some new plans and look towards a new era for the global licensing industry.
  3. Grab a drink, grab a photographer and document your day.Be a part of the POC community and celebrate with us in post-show networking drinks.

The Sustainability In Licensing Conference 2023 takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 November, at the Royal Geographical Society, London.

With the great strides made on naked cards, biodegradable glitter, the use of recycled and recyclable board and envelopes, and even designs made using beach-scavenged plastics and glass, sustainability is something the greeting card industry is very familiar with.

As testament to this, among those to have already confirmed their attendance at SiLC are card and calendar publishers UK Greetings, Danilo and Carousel Calendars – all POC members and each making encouraging headway in their respective sustainable development journeys.

The full agenda can be found by clicking here, and in-person or digital-only tickets for SiLC are available to buy now.
