#Cardmitment toolkit officially unveiled

GCA Conference sees national campaigns free retailer kits released

The GCA’s #Cardmitment campaign is stepping up with the release of free toolkits and retailer packs at this week’s conference and agm.

Tomorrow, Thursday, 28 September, sees the event at the Royal Armouries in Leeds mark the official launch of the #Cardmitment toolkit for the greeting card community, featuring a flyer about getting involved with the campaign, posters for retailers to encourage consumers to send cards, and even a tent card with last posting dates for Christmas.

And it’s perfect timing as Monday, 2 October, is the day Royal Mail’s latest first-class stamp price rise comes into operation, with one of the GCA’s posters flagging up how second class is staying the same at 75p and still means a card can be sent anywhere within the UK.

The mission of  the national #Cardmitment campaign  is to remind UK consumers of the powerful and positive impact the simple act of sending a card can have on individuals, communities and society, particularly at Christmas, and will be urging the public to plan their festive card sending now.

The toolkit is being sent out by several publishers to retail customers with their orders, as well as being available to download free.

Amanda told PG Buzz: “Following on from a PG/GCA retailer roundtable meeting we have received lots of great input which has fed into us creating this great free toolkit.”

Sarah Jackson, founder of Stormy Knight, has designed the Christmas #Cardmitment retailer pack which has been printed by Graphite Creative and she is now sending it out to her customers, as are other publishers including Abacus Cards, Belly Button Designs, Caroline Gardner, Emotional Rescue, GBCC/Ling, Hallmark, Ohh Deer, Paper Salad, Raspberry Blossom, Ricicle Cards, Second Nature and UK Greetings.

Each pack contains one of the three A3 poster designs, a last postage dates tent card, and a flyer explaining #Cardmitment, and retailers can contact the publishers directly for one to be added to their order, or email the GCA’s Adriana Lovesy on adriana@gca.cards to request one.
