Belly Button Designs has been having a busy time with a major new launch covering cards, candles and jewellery along with a great effort showing fabulous support for its indie stockists.

Creative director and founder Rachel Hare and her team took the time to send a Christmas card to all their independent stockists, with a QR code on the back that could be scanned to enter the draw for products with a £1,000 RRP value.

And it was Treat Boutique in Keyworth, Nottingham, that came out as the winner, with owner Charlotte Duncan telling PG Buzz: “It’s amazing, especially after such a tough Christmas – we’ve been here seven years and got over a few hurdles.

“We got sent a Christmas card which had a QR code on, but it was so busy I put it under the desk meaning to enter. Then we didn’t reopen until last week but we were having a restock and shuffle about and I found it again and thought I must do it, because you never know.

“But I only entered at the last minute and then they told me on Monday, 15 January, that I’d won.

“They’re sending me a selection of all the new ranges up to £1,000 RRP, I’ve had a look at Botanique and Ditsy ranges and they’re really nice – I’ve just received stock of the new homewares and gift items so they’ll work perfectly together. I’m really pleased.”

Belly Button’s head of sales Michelle Hindle was delighted with the reaction, saying: “Charlotte was so pleased, she kept saying thank you and wanted to cry – I think we’ve made her January!”

The two new ranges Botanique and Ditsy are in Belly Button’s 2024 brochure which has been sent out to its independent retailers – and the launch includes candles, homewares and boxed silver-plated sentiment engraved bangles range which has already earned the company a place in the Gift Of The Year shortlist, in the Fashion Accessories & Jewellery category.
