Last Louie is public vote

Consumer’s Choice poll to pick favourite card from US greetings awards

The seven British cards that triumphed in the Louie Awards this week can get even more recognition across the pond if one wins the Consumer’s Choice public vote.

All the category winners from the ceremony in San Francisco on Tuesday night, 16 April, are eligible for the vote – so click here to pick your favourite.

And if it happens to be neither of Paper Salad’s two winners or the cards from Pigeon Loft, Rosie Made A Thing, Ohh Deer, Roger La Borde and The Art File which lifted a 2024 Louie, there’ll be few complaints from here in the UK!

The vote for the Louie Consumer’s Choice Award is open until 15 August with the winners to be announced at the US GCA’s annual Workshop & Retreat, and celebrated at the 2025 awards ceremony.

“Every win, every Louie, is not only a win for the company that we represent but the UK greeting card market as well,” commented a very happy Alan Harnik, president of distributors Notes & Queries which distributes Paper Salad and The Art File as well as many other British publishers in the States.

“Notes & Queries is proud to represent some of the best of the best the UK has to offer – our excitement is reinforced every time we get samples from our UK trading partners.”

And his md daughter Vanessa, who can be seen in the video below, added: “Dad and I were unable to attend the Louise award ceremony this year due to the fact that I’m still recovering from surgery. But we were thrilled to hear the news that Notes & Queries won several Louie awards – we consider ourselves so lucky to represent the best of the best in design in paper and stationery! Congrats to all the finalists and the winners.”

There was also good news for The London Studio as three of the American artists represented by the UK art licensing agency picked up four Louies between them.

Jason and Hae Carberry at Fine Moments – known to many as PG Live exhibitors – took a brace, winning the Mother’s Day $5.50 & Below and Halloween categories, while Lucy Loves Paper’s Lucia Saisse won the diversity category Celebrating Latinx Culture diversity category, while Allyson Wilson was the creative behind the Christmas/Seasonal Boxed Set winner for Artists To Watch.

“It’s fantastic news,” The London Studio founder Soula Zavacopoulos told PG Buzz having been at the San Francisco awards ceremony. “I’m thrilled that our Artists’ Collective is growing and we’re able to help artists in the UK and globally.”
