M&G joins BHETA

Licensed card specialist’s product expansion warrants joining trade association

 

Art card publisher Museums & Galleries’ expansion into a wide range of homeware products has led the company to become the latest member of the British Home Enhancement Trade Association.

Over the past few years owners Debbie and Alan Williams have worked with licensing manager Eddie Clarke and creative director Ben Dorney to add a comprehensive collection of licensed gift wrap, tissue paper, gift bags, writing sets, journals, notebooks, calendars, insulated bottles and mugs, travel mugs, kitchen textiles, paper napkins, jigsaws and playing cards to its wide range of licensed cards and notecards.

Working with many of Britain’s highly regarded heritage and arts brands, including the V&A, Tate, Natural History Museum, British Museum, Roald Dahl, Matthew Williamson, Paddington, Transport For London, and Percy The Park Keeper, Corby-based M&G also partners with contemporary independent artists, such as Sarah Campbell, Catherine Rowe and Angela Harding as well as emerging creative talent.

Seema Grantham, BHETA’s sector manager for housewares, said: “Museums & Galleries is the leader in its field, and I am delighted to welcome the company to BHETA.”

To display the new and expanded home and giftware products in-store M&G  is offering a free bespoke pos unit which has an eco-friendly look and materials, allowing for mix-and-match display or complete sets of its latest organic cotton, insulated bottles and mugs, and travel mug gift products.

General manager Tom Williams, who also works with Debbie and Alan’s other companies  M!nt Publishing and Real & Exciting Designs, commented: “The new stand answers an urgent retailer need – it packs a lot of product on a relatively small footprint in a very attractive and sales-friendly way, offering a big bang for your buck!”

BHETA is a trade association representing over 320 home improvement, garden, housewares and small electricals manufacturers, suppliers and distributors encompassing £11billion at retail sales and 15,000 employees, helping them network with contacts, colleagues and expert service providers. The British Independent Retailers’ Association is an affiliate member.
