The Bath-based company has produced a collection of May The Thoughts Be With You gifts, featuring the positive thoughts and illustrations of Charlotte Reed, with a contribution of all sales made going to Student Minds to further the charity’s sterling work to support the UK’s student community on the mental health front.

Half Moon Bay took the decision to support Student Minds’ mission after what has been a difficult 20 months for everyone, with the May The Thoughts Be With You range, designed in collaboration with the wellbeing brand’s creator, Charlotte Reed, at the forefront of the campaign.

Charlotte’s own mental health journey started while at university, but at the time there weren’t any charities such as Student Minds to turn to.

“I’m delighted to be working alongside Student Minds to promote student wellbeing,” said Charlotte. “I experienced mental ill-health while at university so I want to share that message of hope with the student community that recovery is possible. Since starting May The Thoughts Be With You, it’s also been important to me to spread positive thoughts and to raise awareness for mental health, so I’m beyond thrilled to now be working with Student Minds and Half Moon Bay as a way of doing that.”

As Sally Thompson, commercial director of Half Moon Bay added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Student Minds and to support their mission to champion student mental health. The positive thoughts on our May The Thoughts Be With You collection are perfect for this sort of initiative, and it’s a great opportunity for retailers to get involved and support Student Minds.”

The remit of Student Minds is to empower students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. The charity trains students and staff in universities across the UK to deliver student-led peer support interventions as well as research-driven workshops and campaigns. Rosie Tressler OBE, ceo of Student Minds said, “Thank you to everyone at Half Moon Bay and May The Thoughts Be With You for your support of Student Minds. We’re delighted to be able to welcome you into our corporate partnership family and look forward to championing student mental health together over the next year.”
