Words ‘n’ Wishes Supports Indies In Helping To Thank Their Local Heroes

Words ‘n’ Wishes is going a step further this year with its Thank You Reward Voucher scheme for its independent retail customers by extending the show of gratitude to ‘local heroes’.

The publisher has recently launched its ‘Thank You All Round’ initiative, which this year, for the first time not only incorporates rewards for its indie retailer customers, but also, for the first time, for notable members in their community who have gone the extra mile.

“Our Thank You Reward Vouchers are a way for us to say thank you to our valued independent customers for their continued support in these unprecedented times,” says Rod Brown, joint managing director of Words ‘n’ Wishes. “This year we wanted to increase the awareness of local independents as well as those people making a difference to their town or village community, this giving them the opportunity to say their very own ‘Thank You’,” he added.

The Thank You All Round programme will see all its independent retailer customers who place an order (of at least £300) for everyday products from the Words ‘n’ Wishes and Danilo portfolios (that will be invoiced and delivered by December 21) receiving Marks and Spencer vouchers of increasing increments. A £300 order will see them receiving a £30 M&S voucher up to £300 of M&S vouchers for a £2,500 everyday order in the period. The extra element this year is that depending on the value of the order, the retailer will be allocated a ticket/tickets which will go into a draw that will take place in January 2021 with the winning retailer names being invited to nominate an outstanding member of their community that deserves recognition.

The publisher has designated 14 regions throughout the UK who will each have a winning retailer. “These 14 winning retailers can then nominate their chosen ‘local hero’. These may be an NHS/key worker or just someone that has made a real difference in the community over the last six months,” elaborates Rod.

Words ‘n’ Wishes will then provide £100 of M&S vouchers for the winning retailers to present to their respective local heroes as a thank you.

“As soon as we launched this year’s Thank You All Round it has become a real talking point, hearing who the retailer wishes to nominate should they win, is in itself very uplifting. Also, the retailer will be able to get the local press involved which should result in valuable PR for them – a ‘win, win’ for everyone involved. And all by saying thank you,” says Rod.
