Clintons’ HQ Moves To Above Its Loughton Store

The Clintons’ buying group really can have their fingers on the pulse of what’s selling in its stores, now that the headquarters of the specialist multiple has moved to above its Loughton High Street store.

Marking the end of an era, yesterday (August 5) saw Clintons move out of The Crystal Building and adjacent offices in Loughton that have been its HQ for decades to relocate to the 4,000 square foot space above its Loughton High Street store. The retail group, now owned privately by the Weiss family, the founders (and former owners) of UK Greetings, has recently resigned a 10-year on the retail property.

Explaining about the changes, which reflects the increasing vertical integration of the business, Eddie Shepherd, ceo of Clintons said: “The move out of an expensive legacy site into a more compact, efficient premises is both a welcome and necessary move. The financial benefit achieved through this move will be invested back into the business to support our strategy of becoming a more vertically integrated, standalone business.”
