Celebrated Artist Richard Partis To Launch His Own Card Company

Having been a well-known artist in the greeting card and gift trade for over 30 years, Richard Partis is going it alone, preparing to launch his own card publishing company at PG Live next month.

The talented artist has seen his artwork published for years on greeting cards from Clanna Cards and on mugs from Dunoon as well as on textiles and jigsaws, but is looking forward to fronting his own work at PG Live in June (June 4 and June 5 at London’s Business Design Centre) on a stand booked under his own name.

“My biggest claim to fame must be that I’m proud to say that since I left Bath Academy of Art with an Honours degree in 1986 I have painted my watercolour artwork and made a living from selling it all this time. Having worked for many different companies over the last 30+ years I feel that it’s now my time to have a little recognition and some success for all long hours I have dedicated to my artwork,” Richard told PG.

Richard’s first commission, drawing birds, was from Ray Hallett at The National Trust. Richard continued to work with the Trust for many years painting its properties and designing products for the shops.

Richard has worked for Dunoon Ceramics for 29 years designing many fine bone china mugs, which are sold all over the world.

At PG Live Richard is basing his range on the successful Dunoon ‘mug design’ artwork he created along with many new designs covering a broad reach of subject matters, including flora, fauna, transport and locations.
