Plans For PG Live January 2020 Taking Shape

While plans are well underway for PG Live 2019 June show (which takes place June 4-5), its new sister exhibition, PG Live January 2020 exhibition is gathering momentum too with leading names signing up to exhibit at the inaugural early January show, which will take place 7-8 January 2020 at the Business Design Centre, London.

This show will be in addition to the annual June PG Live exhibition each year, which also takes place at the Business Design Centre.

Despite being almost a year away, the stand bookings for the January 2020 are already looking strong. Leading design-led publishers, Caroline Gardner, Woodmansterne Publications, Deva Designs and are the latest to have joined an impressive array of leading publishers including Paper Salad, Wendy Jones-Blackett, Pigment, Stephanie Dyment, Otter House and Rush Designs in booking stands.

The January timing of the show means that PG Live  2020 is  ideal for calendar launches with Danilo, BrownTrout, Carousel, Flametree Publishing, teNeues and Pomegranate being among those to be making it a date for the show.

Show director, Simon Boyd commented “It’s great to have so many strong companies on board already, and we have been equally thrilled by the positive reactions from so many major buyers and progressive independents, who love the PG Live concept and implored us to organise a second show earlier in the year.”

Among those to have been vocal in their support of the new show is Lisa Rutherford, partner and buyer of John Lewis and Partners who said: “I am really excited that a second PG Live will be launching in 2020. It’s great timing for looking at new launches and speaking to publishers in the post-Christmas peak. We plan our Christmas cards in March and this will be a super opportunity to explore newness in the category before our key planning days.”

Adding his endorsement, indie maestro Mark Janson-Smith of Postmark said: “We will be there for every minute of the PG Live January 2020 duration!”

And from across the Atlantic from the USA, Alan Harnik, owner of Notes and Queries, is equally enthusiastic. “I am so excited about the second PG Live January and have already marked it in my calendar. I feel this show will give me a jump start into both new publishers, as well as seeing all new products from my existing trading partners.”
