Cardies Rock Up For Warren’s Big 6-0

The greeting card trade is well known for showing its ‘metal’ when the occasion rises, so no surprises then that cardies were more than happy to make a lot of noise at PG’s Warren Lomax’s ‘Big Rock Party’ on Saturday (June 2).

Perfectly timed as a ‘warm up act’ prior to PG Live, longtime industry pals from all over the world jetted in to mark Warren’s 60th birthday.

Setting the scene for the theme of the milestone celebration, John ‘Wiggie’ Wignall of Really Wild Cards produced a special AC/DC sound card which urged guests to ‘dress to rock’ and many did!

“The greeting card industry really rocks. It was great to see so many of my cardie mates letting their hair down, even if in many cases it wasn’t their own!” quipped Warren referring to the array of wigs on show. “The trade may be super competitive, but it is nothing like the fiercely fought battle of the air guitar competition at the party,” added Warren. The ultimate air guitar accolade went to ‘rock Icon’, Alan Holmes, sales director of Icon.
