Take a gamble with Cardgains’ ‘Spin to win’ at Spring Fair

Cardgains’ joint md Chris Dyson is ready to welcome ‘spinners’ to the casino!

Visitors to Cardgains Village in the middle of the Greetings and Gift hall at the Spring Fair (February 4-8, NEC) may just walk away with a little something extra.

The ‘table’ will feature the brands that are involved in the ‘Spin to Win’ initiative.

“We are adding a bit of fun to the stand with a specially designed roulette table featuring several suppliers where Cardgains members can win free product money-off vouchers to be used against orders from the participating suppliers,” explains Penny Shaw, marketing director of Cardgains. Among  the suppliers who will be offering prizes are Grassroots, Words ‘n’ Wishes, Sarunds, Abacus, Nigel Quiney, GBCC, Cherry Orchard, Xystos, Xpressions 4 U, UKG, Peartree Heybridge, Creative Party and ABGee.

Every Cardgains member registering on the Village will be entitled to three spins of the wheel. All winning spins will receive a special ‘winner chip’ which they will then visit the relevant supplier to claim their prize.

Non-Cardgains guests can be escorted to the table by a supplier and can have a fun spin. If the guest lands on 0 they will get a bottle of prosecco.

The roulette wheel promotion will run Sunday to Wednesday from 9am until 5pm on the Village, which is in Hall 3, Stand L10/M11.

Cardgains’ ‘Ticks all the boxes’ marketing push, fronted by ‘Cyril’ reflects the diverse retail membership as well as the broad portfolio of products from its suppliers.

The ‘Village’ will also bring to life the buying group’s marketing approach for 2018, under the tagline of ‘Cardgains…ticks all the boxes’ which reflects how the supplier portfolio reflects members’ diversification.

New suppliers to the portfolio for 2018 include Brainbox Candy, Creativ Co., Eco Chic, King Cole, Shearer Candles, Stone Marketing and Unknown Ink.  “We believe these companies will add to the current portfolio and bring a new point of difference and choice to our members,” adds Penny.

Brainbox Candy/Unknown Ink is the only card company to be joining the Cardgains portfolio.
