What Hot in Mooch, Northampton

Having recently won a Greats gift retailer award and are also a finalist in The Retas greeting card retailing award, Rachel and Paul Roberts, owners of Mooch on St Giles Street as well as Mooch in Bell are clearly doing very well with their two shops in the historic town of Northampton. Here they share some of their most popular lines.

Humour

Words of Wisdom from Dandelion Stationery

“This is our best-selling card range week in week out. The humour hits the spot, every time, and the thinking of you/sympathy cards have some of the most beautiful messaging we’ve ever seen (customers absolutely love them).”

Photographic

Traditional

“This one took us a little by surprise. Beautiful designs with simple messaging.”

Children’s

Shakies from James Ellis

“These fab cards are popular right across the ranges, and the kids’ age cards work brilliantly for people looking for something a little bit different.”

Handmade/Hand-Finished

Liberty print from Five Dollar Shake

“The cards have amazingly stood out in our ranges. They’re perfect for the very special occasions.”

Giftwrap

Luxury from The Art File

“As soon as we brought this paper in it became a huge hit with the team. It’s thick enough to feel luxurious, but not so thick that it’s difficult to work with. If we could, we’d use it as wallpaper.”

Ancillary

Crystal Fantasies hangings from Wild Things

“These are a consistent best seller, with the added bonus that they take up a tiny footprint in the shop.”
