Card Indies Nominate Publishers For The Henries’ Best Service Award

All independent greeting card retailers are being invited to nominate which card publishers they feel should be rewarded with a Best Service To The Independent Retailer Award in The Henries 2019.

“Being able to rely on a good service from their suppliers is cited as one of the top priorities for all greeting card independent retailers, and as such they are not backwards in coming forward to share the publishers who are the tops on this front,” explained Warren Lomax, joint md of Max Publishing which owns and organises The Henries greeting card industry awards.

This year’s Henries will take on a ‘living history’ theme to celebrate the GCA’s 100th anniversary.

The nomination process includes indies being asked to spend a couple of minutes to submit their votes for the three publishers they feel has offered them the top service in the last year.

‘As a retailer in these testing times, you are a master at providing good service to customers, but which of your greeting card suppliers are providing you with the best service?’ asks the survey. All nominations will remain strictly confidential.

If you are an independent card retailer, and have not yet made your nominations yet, you can do so by clicking on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5MXC6FM

As in previous years there will be a BronzeSilver and Gold award for the Best Service To The Independent Retailer category in The Henries 2019.
Meanwhile, in less than two weeks time, an extensive panel of retail buyers will have the collective responsibility of deciding which of the thousands of new greeting card and giftwrap ranges launched in the last year are the best.

The Henries 2019 product judging panel includes buyers from Paperchase, Clintons, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis, Card Factory, Cardzone, Fenwick, Scribbler, Waterstones, WHSmith, Blue Diamond Group, Between the Lines, Tesco, Morley Stores, Utility, Longacres, House of Cards, Gee Tees, Fortnum & Mason, Barkers, Daniel of Windsor, Garsons and a whole host of leading independent retailers.

All finalists of The Henries 2019 will be announced in early August with the winners revealed at a special awards event that will take place on Thursday October 3 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. The GCA is the headline sponsor of The Henries 2019. In recognition of this being the 100th anniversary of the GCA, The Henries will take on a ‘100 years of living history’ theme.
