Changes Afoot In The Paperchase Card Buying Team

There are changes afoot in the Paperchase card and wrap buying team due to positive life changes for some of its key execs.

Natalie Alexander, who joined Paperchase as senior card and wrap buyer earlier this year (to replace Hazel Walker, who has moved to Waterstones) is amicably leaving the business in a couple of weeks.

Natalie’s departure however fanfares the return of Joe Guest to frontline greeting card buying as he takes on the role as senior card and wrap buyer for Paperchase. Well known industry figure, Joe joined Paperchase three years ago as pen and accessories buyer. Prior to this he was the card buyer at Fortnum & Mason and previous to that was card buyer for Fenwick Brent Cross.

“Joe has been a fabulous addition to the Paperchase team and has helped to drive double digit sales increase from our pen department. He is the ideal person to now become our senior card and wrap buyer,” said Tish Bas, Paperchase’s head of buying.

Daisy Enticott is moving from giftwrap to greeting cards and will be working alongside Emma Clooney.

“Daisy has been a real superstar in the making for us and has risen through the ranks to show herself as a very talented young woman,” adds Tish.

These changes are coming into affect just prior to a large swathe of new products being introduced into Paperchase stores.

“We have seen very strong performance from our stationery products in this back to school/college period and are now looking forward to seeing the results of the massive refresh of greeting cards that will be rolling out into stores over the next few weeks,” Tish added.
