Voting opens for The Henries’ Best Service award

Indie retailers urged to nominate publishers who excel on the service front

With the first round of judging for The Henries product categories having closed yesterday, 13 July, the focus now turns to another crucial element in the industry’s running – service.

Independent retail stockists of greeting cards are now being urged to nominate which publishers they feel have excelled on the service front over the last year, with every vote counting in this prestigious Henries award category.

Nominations are now open for this award with all independent retailers invited to take part before the deadline of 7pm on Sunday, 6 August.

“As ever, we cast the net wide for this all-important award category,” explained Warren Lomax, Progressive Greetings’ co-owner and director of Max Publishing which owns and organises The Henries. “Every single independent retailer on our vast database will be canvassed as will all members of the Cardgains buying group.

“But if there’s anyone we’ve missed, we’d love them to take part to – and publishers are very welcome to ask their customers to nominate too.”

So, if you’re an independent retailer and want to make sure those on the list include the card companies you think really are tops when it comes to service, you have until 6 August to register your votes by clicking here.

Indie retailers are being invited to nominate the three publishers they consider have provided them with the best service over the last 12 months, giving them in the order they feel deserve to be in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

“Help us to recognise and reward those publishers who are helping your business,” added Warren. “It’ll only take you a minute – and never fear, your nominations will remain fully confidential.”

IC&G, Noel Tatt, UK Greetings and Woodmansterne have been sharing the Gold, Silver and Bronze Best Service To The Independent awards between them for the past few years, with The Art File taking the Bronze for the first time in 2022 – but which companies have excelled in the last year?

Once you submit your nominations that’s all you have to do, the collective votes will be counted, and the finalists will be announced in mid-August while the winners of the Bronze, Silver and Gold trophies for this prestigious award category will be revealed at The Henries Awards Ball with its upbeat Mardi Gras theme, on Thursday, 5 October.
