SiLC looks to the future

Products Of Change 2024 conference early bird tickets available for limited time

Looking to the future is what Products Of Change is all about – and the sustainability membership organisation is already looking forward to its 2024 conference.

The POC Sustainability Conference (SiLC) may not be taking place until 6 November but early bird tickets have been made available now for a limited time.

Hailed the “most inspiring and engaging industry event ever attended” by audience members from across the global brand licensing and consumer products industries, including many from the greetings world including Danilo, UK Greetings and Carousel Calendars, SiLC will be making its return to the Royal Geographical Society in London.

Both in-person and digital-only tickets are available with an early bird rate of 10% off the full day-ticket price, and embers of the POC community will also receive a further 20% discount.

A space for knowledge sharing and learning; networking and problem solving; conversation and, most importantly, asking questions SiLC has, within just two years of making its live, in-person debut, carved its place as a must attend event on the industry calendar.

This year will see the conference once again deliver a jam-packed line-up of inspiring talks, panel sessions, and showcase for an industry evolving and transitioning towards a more responsible and sustainable way of operating.

Featuring some of the biggest names in brands and retail, including the Lego Group, Mattel, The Walt Disney Company, Asda, Tesco, and Primark, the 2023 conference delivered a day filled with informative and inspiring discussions, educational sessions highlighting the legislative changes to be impacting retail and manufacturing, and a glimpse at the future of industry through the eyes of some of its keenest pioneers and innovators – and visits from the iconic recycling and sustainable living champions The Wombles.,

A keynote address from Caroline Petit, deputy director for the United Nations’ Regional Information Centre, opened the day’s proceedings as she spoke about the overarching ambition of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the role businesses have to play in helping these to be reached.

As Sue Morrish, co-owner of The Eco-friendly Card Company, posted on social media immediately after the conference: “Today’s visit to the Products Of Change Sustainability Conference was not all about hugging Wombles and gave plenty of food for thought – I’m going to share some of my key takeaways starting with reflections on the opening keynote by Caroline Petit from the UN.

“Have you heard of the UN Sustainable Development Goals? These 17 global goals were agreed to by all 193 member states in 2015. Caroline said: ‘We are off track, we are halfway to 2030 with some targets not going forward but backwards – we are seeing a crisis in climate change, in pollution and in viodiversity loss…more of you need to make bigger commitments and make more rapid change’.”

Helena Mansell-Stopher, POC ceo and founder, said: “SiLC 2023 exceeded all our expectations. The energy both in the room and from those who joined digitally from around the globe was phenomenal and our wonderful brand licensing and retail industries met in ways like never before.

“We are now well on the way planning our 2024 conference where we will again showcase the industry’s continued evolution with the subject of sustainability. We have come so far in such a short time, but maintaining that momentum now is more important than ever before.

“We cannot wait to deliver this year’s conference and urge everyone – no matter where in the industry you are or what stage of sustainable development you are at – to join us and be a part of this crucial effort to create a positive future for us and our business, today.”

The Products Of Change Sustainability Conference 2024 takes place on Wednesday, 6 November, at London’s Royal Geographical Society. Early bird tickets are available here for a limited time.
