PG Live goes international!

Overseas exhibitors and visitors sign up – and the show prep meeting is on 2 March

PG Live is going international with the largest contingent yet of overseas exhibitors signing up to take part in the 2023 event over 6-7 June and a raft over buyers from across the world registered too.

The exhibitor list already features over 180 fabulous greetings industry folk, with Avanti, Designer Greetings and Quilling Cards now making the trip from the US, Greetings From Lowlands Studios travelling from The Netherlands, Germany’s Perleberge is all set for the journey, P&G Cards is hopping over from Ireland, while Origamo and Cromo are coming from Italy, while the longest trek of all sees Simson Licensing popping up from down under – and there are more in the pipeline.

Warren Lomax, chairman of Max Exhibitions which owns and organises PG Live said: “This is going to be our most international show yet with the number of overseas publishers and buyers already registered – do you realise it’s incredibly our 15th show!

“it’s time to start getting rather excited about the show that will bring the global greeting card community together and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to London’s Business Design Centre for what promises to be a fabulous event.”

Simson Licensing is part of Simson Cards, one of Australia’s leading designers and distributors of greetings cards and stationery, and owners John and Bindi Simson often make buying trips to the UK and PG Live to source products.

“We love you guys and the contribution you make to our industry,” John told PG Buzz. “Simson as a design resource is totally under-utilised so our aim is to showcase what our studio creates to engage with UK publishers and any internationals that venture across to London.

“We know that our designs in Australia outsell many of our competitors whose designs are resourced out of the UK – whether our designs appeal to the UK consumer, PG Live will help us determine.”

This year’s PG Live again features the delicious free lunch for everyone on both days, plus complimentary tea and coffee, and the drinks party once the stands are shut down on the opening day.

And all exhibitors have been invited to a free prep meeting for the show, on Thursday, 2 March, from 9.30am to noon, at PG Live’s home in the Business Design Centre with tea, coffee and biscuits on the house.

The meeting will enable the PG Live team to share advice and guidance on getting the most out of exhibiting at the show, covering key subjects from stand design and build logistics to the many free marketing opportunities on offer.

PG Live’s Jim Bullough explained: “We understand that, while many of you are experienced in exhibiting, some are making their trade show debut and others might just like a few reminders, especially as PG Live has some of its own nuances!

“We’ll also have a mock stand set-up as well as a Springboard Intro table so you will be able to visualise what your stand will look like. Another exhibition will be going on at the time of the meeting, which will help to make it real.”

Adding to the line-up on the day, GCA ceo Amanda Fergusson will also be around as the industry association’s Dragons Speed Dating event will be taking place in the afternoon in the same place. More info on this event can be found on the GCA website by clicking here.

It would be very helpful if exhibitors could let the team know if they will be attending by emailing jimb@max-publishing.co.uk by 5pm on Monday, 27 February, with the company and names.

And remember, the final date for the free Show Preview is on 17 March, then the deadline for submitting your design for your free show invites is 24 March, and PG Live catalogue entries must be received by 21 April. All submissions details are to be made online via the exhibitor zone on the PG Live website.
