Hallmark grafts a Woodland Trust partnership

Publisher to make a 20p donation from every online order to the environmental charity

Sending cards is helping trees, thanks to a partnership between Hallmark and the Woodland Trust which sees 20p from every order placed on the publisher’s website going to the environmental charity.

The monies from the www.hallmark.co.uk sales will be used to aid the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity in its efforts to create, protect and restore more of the country’s native woodlands, where it owns and cares for more than 1,000 free, public woods.

“We’ve been FSC-certified for the last 14 years,” explained Hallmark head of brand marketing Jess Lovelace, “but we want to do all we can to protect our environment and to sustain the woodlands that provide so much for us all, and we know that this exciting new partnership will help us to do even more.

“Caring for the people we love and the planet we live on goes hand in hand, which is why we’re very proud to be working with The Woodland Trust.”

For the last 50 years the charity has been working to protect and restore Britain’s precious ancient woodland and plant native trees and woods, creating resilient landscapes for the benefit of people and wildlife.

Working with like-minded organisations, landowners and the Government, the trust also campaigns to protect and save ancient woodland from destructive development, protecting the oldest, most vulnerable trees, and restoring irreplaceable ecosystems so wildlife can thrive again.

The 20p donation from each order is at no extra cost to the customer who can now buy cards knowing they are made using quality materials from well-managed FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources, and each online order gives back to the woodlands, helping to conserve and protect them for future generations.

Jess added that sustainability is at the core of everything at Hallmark: “We’ve always been driven by the desire to put more care into the world, and our goal is to help people live a more caring and connected life, whether that be caring for and connecting with people or caring for the planet.

“We all have a responsibility to try to leave the world a better place than we found it, and at Hallmark we intend to do just that. We really do believe that when you care enough you can change the world, and our cards can make a difference in more ways than one.”
