UKG  initiated the competition to add to the launch of its new Star Wars and Marvel ranges that were featured on the stand at last year’s exhibition. Retailers were invited to enjoy being on the Star Wars ‘stage set’ by battling it out with the new sound effect light saber cards, have some fun with its ‘selfie’ feature and then pop in their business card to be in with a chance of winning the prize!

This was Nitin’s first visit to PG Live, attending on the recommendation of one of his business associates, who thought it would be a good venue for Nitin to show his own range of gift bags and Christmas products that he imports directly from the Far East as a separate enterprise to his Party Buz stores. He got chatting to UKG’s new director of independent sales, Darren Cave on the publisher’s stand as he was considering a review of the greeting card part of his business, and following a meeting with Robert Marsden, UKG’s south east regional sales manager and Luisa Vowles, south east regional sales exec a selection of UKG product is going into the Farnborough store on test.

Party Buz is the largest of Nitin’s 3 stores, the others being in Aldershot and Grays. The Aldershot store boasts arguably the largest selection of fancy dress costumes in the UK on its dedicated first floor.
