Wholesaler Northwest Greeting Cards Due To Open For Business

It has been long while since the industry welcomed a new greeting card wholesaler, but entrepreneur Richard Aylett is opening Northwest Greeting Cards in Haydock, Merseyside this Sunday (14 October). The new business will operate from an 8,500sq purpose-built unit just two minutes from the M6 (Jct 23) and very close to the A580.

While the pattern of the last decade has seen the closure of wholesale greeting card businesses Richard knows a thing or two about going against the grain, seeing as he has fought back from a life-threatening illness and liver transplant, with great gusto.

“We are nearly ready and really excited to bring a totally different shopping experience for traders than they have been used to in the past,” said Richard, only a few days to go until the launch. “Our rep Jason has been out on the road for the last two weeks and the response has been incredible. It’s been a huge investment for us, both financially and emotionally but we’re confident in our ability to deliver a first class wholesalers with service to match,” he added.

And ensuring there is a big noise about the opening – the award winning Golborne Brass Band will be raising the roof as the new business officially opens for business.

Northwest Greeting Cards will wholesale greeting cards and gifts while Balloon World will continue as a sibling business catering for the balloon and party side. The Northwest Greeting Cards’ website will also go live on the same day as the wholesalers opens www.northwestgreetings.co.uk
