The sun shone brightly on PG Live’s second day

Multiples, indies and overseas distributors were so impressed by the amazing array of new card designs that were on show at PG Live, which took place over the last two days.

Paperchase, John Lewis, Scribbler, Clintons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Next, Waterstones, Oliver Bonas, Squires, Waitrose, WHSmith, Card Factory, Dobbies, Cards Galore, Amazon, House of Fraser, TKMaxx, McColls, Squires, Dobbies and Ocado were among the leading retailing brands that flocked to the show along with a whole host of independent retailers from right across the spectrum.

Commenting, John Lewis’ buyer Lisa Rutherford said: “I always love this show, it is really spirited. We have seen every single one of the 280 stands and are so impressed with the creativity out there.”

First time PG Live visitor, Fiona and Victoria Robinson of Wishes in Cockermouth had nothing but praise for the show. “We love it as it is cards, cards, cards. As we eat, sleep, dream cards, PG Live celebrates everything we love.”

There was a record number of overseas visitors to the show, who travelled from all over the world to come to PG Live. Belinda Simson, director of Simson Cards in Melbourne, Australia said it was well worth the trip.

“It has been well worth the journey! We came with a clear idea of what we wanted to find – and the show has more then exceeded our expectations. As well as consolidating our friendships with the publishers we currently work with we have found at least four newbies that we are hoping to work with.”

PG Buzz shares a few snapshots from yesterday (June 7) at the show. Next year the exhibition will take place June 5 and June 6, again at the Business Design Centre, London.
