A month today will see PG Live 2021 open its doors on the two-day show (July 27-28) which is all set to be a glorious reunion of the greeting card community, with new launches galore featuring in the just published Show Preview and on the multifarious exhibitors’ postcards that are making their way to retailers right now.
“PG Live will bring ‘a little sunshine’ back into our lives with the first London show since the pandemic began – I can’t believe is going to happen in a month and we’re SO excited on SO many levels!” exclaimed Wendy Jones-Blackett, co-owner of the eponymous greeting card publisher, one of the many leading names who will be exhibiting at the show, which takes place at London’s Business Design Centre. “Meeting up and seeing people is going to be completely marvellous!”
Steve Baker, sales and marketing director of Pigment is another PG Live exhibitor who is “excited at the prospect of seeing real people at PG Live…..Zoom has definitely lost its appeal for us! It will be great to catch up with all our lovely customers face to face and share all the new product that our studio has been working on. PG Live is definitely our favourite show, we are so pleased that it is going ahead this year and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
Whetting the appetites of retailers as to just some of the treats that lie in store for them at PG Live next month (July 27-28), the official Show Preview publication has now landed and has made its way out to all those who have registered to attend. The colourful booklet provides a sneak peek into just a taster of the fabulous new launches that publishers large and small have in store for visitors as well as details of all the extra touches that sets PG Live apart…from the free lunch and all-day refreshments to the opening night drinks party and show only offers.
Copies of the PG Live Show Preview will continue to be posted out to retailers who register to attend enabling them to plan their visit and create a wishlist of publishers to seek out.

“It’s in the diary!” confirms Sarah Moughtin, card buyer for John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose. “I am really looking forward to PG Live – it feels long overdue to see and speak to all our publishers old and new! It will be a key moment for us to start thinking about planning for 2022. I just can’t wait to see all the new designs.”
Another retailer who is counting down the days is Sean Austin of Austin & Co in Malvern: “My accommodation is booked! It is so great we have had a date to look forward to when we can meet up with old friends, forge new relationships and feel human once more. I’ve tried to master virtual trade shows, but it has been a struggle when you’re a people person!”
The Show Preview is not the only PG Live correspondence to be winging its way through Royal Mail with a whole sea of different postcards emblazoned with messages from exhibitors now starting to arrive with retailers, having been kindly printed by The Imaging Centre on board from GF Smith.
“After over a year of no trade shows, PG Live 2021 is all set to be a very special reunion of the greeting card community – where business will meet pleasure and no mistake,” commented Warren Lomax, co-show director of PG Live. “This will be the 12th PG Live, but it should have been our 13th, so it will be a double celebration of everything great about our industry – wonderful products, a great bunch of people and a true sense of camaraderie.”
