First plush from The Art File launches at Spring Fair
Marking a significant product diversification The Art File’s cute Bear character is taking the leap from The Henries award-winning greeting card range to debut in 3D plush that has sustainability at its heart.
This marks the latest new product extensions for the Nottingham-based publisher, with the Bear plush joining calendars, playing cards, an extended stationery collection and a wealth of new greeting card and wrappings in the new line-up that will be showcased on its stand at Spring Fair.

Having teased with an under wraps peek of the prototype Bear plush at Harrogate Home & Gift back in July, then with a soft launch at Top Drawer just last week, Spring Fair marks the official launch of the cuddly character.
Great effort has been made to ensure the sustainable credentials of the new products as, from the outer fabric to the inside stuffing, all Bears are made from 100% post-consumer waste recycled plastic bottles, and there’s a little extra weight in the bum so the cute characters sit up easily plus there’s the added assurance of the UKCA and CE certification.
And, while the bears are being manufactured abroad, they’re being trucked overland into the UK rather than brought in container ships as it’s a more carbon-neutral transport process.

The Art File MD Ged Mace said: “I’m so excited about the launch of our new plush Bear because it’s a product we’ve been planning for several years. The Bear collection is very popular and has already translated well on to the other products.
“The whole process of creating a 3D product from a 2D image has been fascinating. We soft launched Bear plush at Top Drawer this month and it was a delight watching our customers pick the bears up and not want to put them down again!”
The full launch of the two cute styles, one large and one small, will be put in front of retailers at Spring Fair, stand 3P11, which runs at Birmingham’s NEC over 2-5 February, to further expand the card range based on the artwork of illustrator Robert Reader, with the brand already gracing stationery, tote bags and gift bags from The Art File.
