Recognition for McDaniels Law

IP specialist ranked as Legal 500 Top Tier Firm and MD listed as leading partner

Law firm that has the greeting card industry close to its heart has been ranked a Top Tier Firm for intellectual property in the Legal 500 UK 2025 rankings, and managing director Kelly Hudson has also been listed as a leading partner.

The Legal 500 looks at law firms in nine geographical areas, including the UK, USA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Canada, to rank them in the various disciplines, and McDaniels Law has been assessed as a Top Tier Firm in Britain.

The company is a GCA supplier member and recommended by the association for legal services covering copyright infringement and intellectual property, and was one of the sponsors at this year’s Henries awards, as well as sponsoring the last two GCA AGM & Conferences.

Kelly said: “As a bonus to the team being top ranked in this year’s Legal 500, I’m very pleased to have also been ranked as a Leading Partner for IP. Lovely recognition that I don’t talk rubbish all the time!”

And the Gateshead-based IP lawyers revealed that one client stated: “I am impressed by the lead director Kelly Hudson who is client friendly and market aware.”

While another testimonial said: “We enjoy working with McDaniels because of their specialism and diverse and complex range of work right across the IP spectrum. They will always look to go the extra mile to try to assist where they can. They have a hands-on practical approach to intellectual property as a commercial issue rather than looking purely at the law. Finding solutions is in their DNA.”
