A seed of a greeting card idea from the GBCC team two years ago, has led to a blooming number of therapeutic gardens being funded at children’s hospices through Greenfingers. In addition the 10p that is given to Greenfingers from the sale of each Floreo card, another 10p is also given to horticultural charity, Perennial.

This year alone, GBCC has presented the Greenfingers charity with a cheque for £19,102.05 as a result of sales from its photographic Floreo greeting card range.

Linda Petrons, director of fundraising and communications at Greenfingers Charity said: “The donation from sales of Floreo cards is an amazing windfall for our work building therapeutic gardens for children’s hospices. Every sale is important and we hope that every garden centre and retailer in the country considers stocking these Floreo charity cards so that retailers benefit from extra sales and we benefit from the very valuable pennies we receive as a consequence.”
