GF Smith’s Mark Jessett Puts Paint To Paper With Good Cause

As a popular member of the G.F Smith Greetings team, Mark Jessett not only knows the ins and outs of what paper and board would best suit greeting card publishers for their designs, he is also a dab hand at art himself.

Mark has been turning his artistic talents to good use recently in order to raise money for  SUDEP Action, a charity dedicated to helping families who have experienced sudden unexpected death through epilepsy. This is a cause close to Mark’s heart, as Felix Murdin, the son of close friends of his died suddenly from epilepsy.

Mark is offering the chance to win an original painting by him through a competition. The painting, entitled Magic Rocks, is 60x60cm comes framed and has a gallery value of £900.

To be in with a chance of winning Mark’s colourful painting, entrants need to answer a simple question, making a £5 donation to the charity via the site for each attempt. https://www.markjessett.com/competition/

“I’ve raised £1,060 so far, but I’d love to raise as much as possible, of course,” Mark told PG Buzz. The draw of all winning entries will take place next Monday (15 February) which is my birthday, and that of Felix Murdin, the son of my wonderful friends Sophie and Alex. Felix died in 2017 through epilepsy, aged 20.”
