The Just a Card campaign continues to go from strength to strength, with Cardgains now pledging its support by printing Just a Card shop window stickers for free and will help distribute through its retailer members. The Just a Card campaign was started over three years ago by artist and publisher Sarah Hamilton to highlight how important every sale to a small independent is, even if it is ‘just a card’.
“When I set up the Just a Card campaign three years ago it was with one key aim – to highlight how valued and vital every sale is to artists, designers and independent creative businesses and shops,” says Sarah. “We all know how incredibly hard people work, how much passion, dedication, blood, sweat and tears go into what we do. We need independent shops to thrive, not just for them but also for their community and all their suppliers. The campaign has grown hugely in the three years and we are now in a position to be able to offer all independent shops free window stickers.”
Cardgains’ marketing director Penny Shaw said: “We are very excited to be involved in the Just a Card campaign to encourage consumers to shop locally and with independent retailers.”
The stickers feature the logos of the GCA and Top Drawer – both supporters of the campaign – and can be ordered by sending an A4 SAE with a large letter stamp to: Michael Fram, The Leaping Hare Gallery & Framers, 23 Chapel Street, Easingwold, North Yorkshire, YO61 3AE.
Alternatively any retailers attending Sarah Hamilton’s open house this this Saturday and Sunday from 11-6pm on 12 – 13 May in South London can pick up a sticker there. More details about Sarah’s event are here.
