The Art File (stand 200) is launching a brand new everyday collection based on Anna Hymas art at PG Live next week (Tuesday 6 June and Wednesday 7 June) at London’s Business Design Centre. The stunning new collection, entitled ‘London’ encompasses beautiful designs that showcase the historic pedigree of the capital city.

Three words that best describe you: “Multitasking, artist, mum”

How did you come to work with The Art File? “Ged Mace [md of the publisher] kindly asked me to work with them after seeing some prints of my work in an exhibition.”

How do you feel when you see a piece of your art on display or for sale? “It depends, sometimes excited, other times with a critical eye. My highlights have been seeing one of my paintings hanging in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and finding my posters that were commissioned for the London Underground at tube stations all over the city.”

What’s the best advice that you’ve been given? “My Mum said: ‘Paint what you would like to have hanging on the walls of your home’.”

What advice would you give to others? “Be flexible with your artwork, be creative and keep being productive.”

What are your favourite films? “Some Like it Hot and Kung Fu Panda.”

What’s your favourite book? “I’ve just finished Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels which I found totally absorbing. I’m still thinking about them.”

How do you start your day? “General chaos of rushing children out to school and a lot of caffeine!”

How do you end your day? “It depends, sometimes I work late but more usually just flopped on the sofa.”

What one item would you take to a desert island? “Water-proof matches.”

Meet Anna on The Art File stand (200) at PG Live on Tuesday 6 June between 10:30 and 12:30.
