PG Live opens for business at London’s Business Centre, in Islington tomorrow (and continues on Wednesday). Here are some of the unmissable elements…
The Springboard section
There’s a treasure trove of new and emerging talent just waiting to be uncovered in the Springboard section upstairs in the gallery. For the third year running demand for space in the Springboard section has outstripped supply, so for 2017 this section has been expanded. So there are now over 150 exhibitors in the Springboard and Springboard Extra sections, including more than 100 companies that are making their debuts!
Card dresses
One of the talking points of the show each year is the card dresses and it’s a lot of fun to spot your favourite cards in the dresses as the models walk by. Theatrical costumier, Sharon Harvey makes the dresses for PG Live from greeting cards and wrap sent in by all the exhibitors. This year she is taking her inspiration from Venice for the colour-themed dresses.
Great competitions
It wouldn’t be PG Live without some great competitions, giveaways and offers! Widdop and Co (stand 436) will be offering a free gift (as a lucky dip) to visitors from the Studio Oh collection of stationery and greeting cards or the Rosanna gift collection. As part of its 35th anniversary celebrations, Cath Tate Cards (stand 307) will be serving cake and entering all visitors into a special prize draw. And at Abacus Cards (stand 300) you will receive three bottles of Prosecco if you place an order over £350.

Free lunch
They say ‘there’s no such thing as a free lunch’ but at PG Live there really is a free lunch. For everyone! Simply head to the Gallery Hall between 1pm and 3pm on both days for a choice of delicious hot or cold dishes or sandwiches. Make sure you check out the fabulous room decorations from Lagom Design while you’re there!
Only at PG Live!
Over 100 exhibitors will be showing exclusively at PG Live, making this the only chance this year to see the latest collections from a number of high-profile names such as Hallmark (stand 416), Wendy Jones-Blackett (stand 235) and Paperlink (stand 201).
A number of significant publishers will be making their PG Live debut in the main hall, with Ohh Deer (stand 413), Cardigan Cards (stand 310), BrownTrout Publishing (stand 326), ZZ Designs (stand 670), Unknown Ink (stand 862) and Proper Mail Company (stand 226) all taking the PG Live plunge. And White Cotton Cards (stand 319) and Deva Designs (stand 331) are both back after an eight year absence.
